DOGWOOL Canine Wool
TIPS FOR MAKING YOUR KNITTING
THE NEEDLES
To avoid crushing the fibres and to obtain a beautiful Angora effect, it is advisable to knit with needles No. 5/7 . It is best to make a small sample to see which needle number is best suited to your wool.
Crochet is less suited to dog wool except for items requiring support such as a hat .
WASHING
Wash gently by hand in lukewarm water (25/30° maximum) , with a "special wool" product. Do not twist and dry flat on a terry towel.
DOG WOOL is a hairy wool. When you knit, you will lose micro fibers; this is normal. Then, shake your wool outside to eject the excess. The more you wear your wool, the faster it will stabilize and you will no longer lose down.
VERY IMPORTANT
As DOG WOOL is hairy, it is best not to use it for baby clothes . Young children tend to put a lot of things in their mouths and could choke on the hairs.
I also advise against making slippers, socks, mittens and gloves because your wool will have a very limited lifespan due to friction and perspiration.
